Michael J. Hunkins, President – Mr. Hunkins is a sales, marketing and advertising professional with nearly 20 years experience.
Beginning his career in retail sales and moving to inside sales, Mr. Hunkins quickly proved to be a capable leader and motivator, and was promoted to Sales Management where he honed his lead generation and marketing skills.
Realizing that sales was only one aspect of the marketing process, Mr. Hunkins accepted a position with a Fortune 1000 company as Senior Marketing Analyst, where he excelled at developing proprietary methods of tracking and monitoring marketing campaign results. In this position, he also identified marketing opportunities for new product development and introduced targeted business-to-business direct mail and general advertising campaigns.
In 1997, Mr. Hunkins was selected by the insurance division of General Motors Acceptance Corporation to lead their corporate branding, general advertising and direct mail efforts. In this capacity, Mr. Hunkins was responsible for overseeing all graphic design projects, corporate branding, ancillary promotions, internet marketing, TV and radio production/placement, and design, testing & analysis of 40 million pieces of direct mail per year. During this time, Mr. Hunkins introduced new testing and creative programs that enhanced brand awareness levels and significantly increased direct mail efficiencies. Mr. Hunkins also represented GMAC in their advertising and marketing sponsorship of the St. Louis Rams and the Senior PGA.
Mr. Hunkins has been an active member of the St. Louis Direct Marketing Association and has served on various committees. He and his team have been recognized by the Direct Marketing Association, and have received numerous awards, including multiple DMA Arrow Awards, a Videographers Award of Distinction for corporate video production and the much coveted General Motors President’s Council Award.
